The Resideo D06F-1/2A pressure reducing valve is designed to reduce and stabilize pressure in potable water installations, helping protect pipes, fittings, appliances, and other components against excessive mains pressure. This version includes 1/2" threaded connections, nominal diameter DN15, an integrated fine filter, and a transparent bowl, combining pressure regulation and filtration in a single compact device.
The D06F-1/2A offers a Kvs value of 2.4 m³/h, supports a maximum inlet pressure of 16 bar, and allows the outlet pressure to be adjusted between 1.5 and 6 bar. It is factory preset to 3 bar and uses a balanced seat system that keeps downstream pressure stable even when there are significant fluctuations in supply pressure.
The main function of the Resideo D06F is to reduce a high supply pressure to a suitable level for the downstream installation. By maintaining a controlled working pressure, it helps prevent damage caused by overpressure and reduces unnecessary stress on the various components of the system.
Properly regulated pressure also helps reduce water consumption and minimize flow noise in pipes and fittings. These advantages are especially useful in homes or buildings where mains pressure is higher than needed or fluctuates throughout the day.
The valve uses a regulating system with a spring and diaphragm with balanced inlet pressure. When downstream pressure drops due to water consumption, the spring force opens the valve until balance with the diaphragm is restored.
Thanks to this operating principle, variations in upstream pressure have minimal influence on the set outlet pressure, providing a more stable supply to points of use.
The outlet pressure can be set within a range of 1.5 to 6 bar. The top adjustment knob includes a scale that allows the selected value to be read directly and makes commissioning easier.
The valve is supplied with an outlet pressure preset to 3 bar. This value can be changed later to suit the specific requirements of the installation, always within the operating conditions specified by Resideo.
In addition to pressure regulation, the D06F-1/2A includes a stainless steel fine filter with a 0.16 mm mesh. This element helps retain small particles present in the water before they pass through the internal regulating mechanism.
Integrating the filter into the unit reduces the number of components required and helps protect the seat and internal cartridge from impurities.
This version is equipped with a transparent filter bowl, a particularly practical feature during maintenance operations. By being able to visually inspect the condition of the filter element from the outside, it is easy to detect dirt buildup and determine when cleaning is needed.
With the transparent bowl, the maximum inlet pressure specified by Resideo is 16 bar. If the device may be exposed to ultraviolet radiation or solvent vapors, the manufacturer recommends using the compatible brass bowl from the range.
The D06F-1/2A reference corresponds to the DN15 version with 1/2" R connection. The A variant is supplied with external threaded fittings on inlet and outlet, making both initial installation and future maintenance removal easier.
For this size, Resideo states a Kvs of 2.4 m³/h. This value should be considered together with the required flow rate and available pressure loss when sizing the installation.
The body is made of dezincification-resistant brass, while the connection fittings are brass. The spring chamber and adjustment knob are made of high-quality synthetic material.
The internal cartridge includes an EPDM diaphragm, the seals are also EPDM, and the regulating spring is made of steel. In addition, the spring remains separated from the potable water during operation.
The internal regulating assembly can be fully replaced. This design simplifies maintenance operations and makes it possible to renew the main functional components without necessarily replacing the entire valve body installed in the pipework.
The ability to replace the cartridge, filter, and other service parts helps simplify periodic maintenance of the installation.
The valve body has pressure gauge connections on both sides, making it easy to directly check the regulated pressure. The pressure gauge is supplied as an accessory and is not part of the standard equipment for this reference.
The combination of the built-in graduated scale and an optional pressure gauge allows the downstream pressure to be adjusted and verified accurately during commissioning and periodic inspections.
The D06F-1/2A version with transparent bowl is specified to work with water at a maximum temperature of up to 40 °C under the conditions indicated by Resideo. The technical documentation also states a maximum temperature of 30 °C for the conditions specifically covered by EN 1567.
The permissible ambient temperature is between 5 and 55 °C, in a clean, dry environment protected against frost.
The valve can be installed in a horizontal or vertical position. Resideo recommends installing shut-off valves, placing the device in an easily accessible location protected from frost, and leaving enough space for reading the pressure gauge, inspecting the bowl, and carrying out maintenance work.
Downstream of the pressure reducing valve, a straight pipe section at least five times the nominal diameter should be provided, following EN 806-2 recommendations. The unit also requires periodic maintenance in accordance with EN 806-5.
For sizes up to 1 1/4", including this 1/2" model, Resideo indicates a low-noise classification of LGA group 1 without restrictions. Pressure reduction and stabilization also help reduce hydraulic noise associated with excessive pressure in the installation.
The Resideo D06F-1/2A combines pressure regulation, fine filtration, and a transparent bowl in a single unit. With its 1/2" connection, DN15, Kvs 2.4 m³/h, and adjustable pressure between 1.5 and 6 bar, it helps stabilize supply and protect the components of domestic, commercial, or industrial installations within the limits set by the manufacturer.
The balanced seat, adjustment scale, pressure gauge connections, replaceable cartridge, and transparent bowl make both commissioning and maintenance easier. To ensure correct operation, the pressure, temperature, installation, and maintenance conditions indicated by Resideo must be observed.
