The Resideo Braukmann D06F-1A pressure reducing valve is designed to reduce and stabilize pressure in potable water installations, protecting pipes, fittings, and equipment against excessive supply pressure. This version features 1" threaded connections, nominal diameter DN25, an integrated fine filter, and a transparent filter bowl, allowing visual inspection of its condition without dismantling the assembly.
Thanks to its balanced seat design, the outlet pressure remains stable even if inlet pressure fluctuates. It allows downstream pressure to be adjusted between 1.5 and 6 bar, comes factory preset to 3 bar, and supports a maximum inlet pressure of 16 bar in this version with transparent bowl.
The Resideo D06F-1A reduces high mains pressure to a suitable level for the downstream installation. Controlled pressure helps prevent damage caused by overpressure and helps protect components connected to the water network.
In addition, maintaining a reduced and constant operating pressure can help lower water consumption and reduce flow noise that may occur in pipes, valves, and fittings when supply pressure is higher than necessary.
The valve operates on a system that balances the force of the diaphragm against the force of the regulating spring. When water is being drawn and downstream pressure drops, the spring opens the valve until the selected pressure is reached again.
The balanced inlet pressure design prevents upstream fluctuations from having a significant influence on the regulated pressure. In this way, the D06F maintains a stable outlet pressure within its nominal operating conditions.
The outlet pressure can be adjusted using the control knob located at the top of the device within a range of 1.5 to 6 bar. The integrated scale allows the selected value to be read directly and makes adjustment easier during commissioning.
The valve is supplied preset to 3 bar, although this value can be changed later to suit the needs of the installation. The minimum pressure drop specified by the manufacturer is 1 bar.
The Resideo D06F incorporates a stainless steel fine filter with a 0.16 mm mesh. This element helps retain particles present in the water before they reach the valve’s regulating mechanism.
The filter is part of the assembly itself, providing pressure reduction and filtration in a single device. The filter element can be inspected during periodic maintenance operations.
The D06F-1A version includes a transparent synthetic filter bowl. Its transparency makes it possible to visually check dirt accumulation and determine when cleaning or maintenance is required.
With this type of bowl, Resideo specifies a maximum inlet pressure of 16 bar. The manufacturer indicates that if the valve may be exposed to ultraviolet radiation or solvent vapors, the compatible brass filter bowl specified for the range must be used.
The D06F-1A reference corresponds to the variant with a 1" R connection and nominal diameter DN25. Version A includes a set of external threaded fittings on both inlet and outlet, making connection and later disassembly easier during maintenance work.
For this size, Resideo declares a Kvs value of 5.8 m³/h. This parameter helps size the valve according to the required flow rate and the available pressure loss in the installation.
The main body is made of dezincification-resistant brass, while the threaded fittings are also brass. The internal cartridge uses high-quality synthetic material and incorporates an EPDM diaphragm.
The seals are also made of EPDM and the regulating spring is made of steel. The design keeps the spring separated from the potable water during operation.
The internal regulating assembly can be fully replaced, making valve maintenance easier and avoiding the need to replace the entire installed body when intervention on the internal mechanism is required.
This modular construction is especially useful in installations where periodic maintenance operations need to be simplified and the service life of the assembly extended.
The D06F body has pressure gauge connections on both sides, allowing outlet pressure to be monitored directly in the installation. The pressure gauge is sold as an accessory and is not included with the valve.
The combination of the integrated adjustment scale and an optional pressure gauge makes both initial presetting and later performance checks easier.
For version A with transparent filter bowl, Resideo specifies a maximum fluid temperature of 40 °C. Under the test conditions covered by EN 1567, the technical documentation states a maximum temperature of 30 °C.
The maximum inlet pressure is 16 bar and the downstream adjustment range is 1.5 to 6 bar. These conditions must be respected during sizing and installation to ensure correct regulator operation.
The valve should be installed in an easily accessible area, protected against frost and with enough space to carry out adjustment, inspection, and maintenance operations. Resideo recommends installing shut-off valves and leaving a straight pipe section downstream of at least five times the nominal diameter, in accordance with EN 806-2.
The D06F requires periodic maintenance in accordance with EN 806-5. The transparent bowl makes filter inspection easier, while the replaceable cartridge simplifies interventions on the regulating mechanism.
The Resideo D06F-1A combines pressure reduction and an integrated fine filter in a single device, offering a complete solution for potable water installations. Its 1", DN25 connection, Kvs 5.8 m³/h, and adjustment range from 1.5 to 6 bar make it suitable for numerous domestic, commercial, and industrial installations within the limits specified by the manufacturer.
The transparent bowl makes it easy to check the condition of the filter, while the balanced seat helps keep downstream pressure stable against supply fluctuations. The adjustment scale, pressure gauge connections, and replaceable cartridge also make commissioning and later maintenance of the installation easier.
