Operating modes:

The VIARIS SOLAR allows you to select the type of energy mix to be used for vehicle charging through three different operating modes:

• Solar Mode: In this mode, the device exclusively uses energy generated by the solar panels to charge the vehicle. It is the ideal option for those who want a 100% sustainable charge without consuming energy from the grid. This option is optimal when solar production is sufficient to cover the entire charging demand of the electric vehicle.

• Hybrid Mode: This mode prioritises solar energy, but if production is not sufficient to maintain a constant and efficient charge, the system supplements solar energy with a minimal amount of grid energy. This way, any interruption in the charging process is avoided, ensuring that the vehicle receives the necessary energy without completely relying on the electric grid.

• Solar/Grid Mode: This mode combines the maximum available power from the electric grid with the solar energy generated to achieve the highest possible charging speed. It is the ideal option when the vehicle needs to be charged as quickly as possible, using all the available energy from both the grid and the solar panels.

Time programming:

One of the most notable features of the VIARIS SOLAR is its ability to schedule up to 6 different time slots between Monday and Friday, and another 6 slots for the weekend. In each of these slots, it is possible to select the operating mode you wish to use (Solar, Hybrid, or Solar/Grid), allowing for full customisation of charging and maximisation of energy savings. This level of control is especially useful for adapting to different solar production conditions or electricity tariffs during the day.

Energy measurement and management:

The VIARIS SOLAR offers bidirectional measurement of generated and consumed energy, providing a detailed view of the energy flow. Through its LCD screen, it is possible to view real-time data such as active energy (direct and reverse), voltage, current, active power, apparent power, power factor, and frequency. This facilitates precise control over energy use and helps users make informed decisions about managing their photovoltaic installation and electric vehicle consumption.

The application allows visualisation of grid energy consumption, energy generated or consumed by the solar installation, as well as the energy used by the home and the electric vehicle. Additionally, it is possible to download consumption histories and adjust the device configuration easily, improving control and efficiency of the photovoltaic installation.
