Mandatory Additional Information on Some Orders
When placing a high-value order, a mandatory field may appear on the payment page under the title "Additional Information". In this section, we ask you to provide one of the following identity documents:
- National Identity Document Number
- Passport Number
- Company Identification Number
- Other Valid Identity Documents
Why do we ask for it?
Firstly, we are legally required by Spanish legislation to issue an invoice for orders exceeding a certain amount, and in order to issue an invoice, we need the buyer's tax information.
This legislation applies to all customers, regardless of whether they are individuals, freelancers, or companies.
On the other hand, since these are high-value orders, we use the information provided so that the carrier (if deemed necessary) can verify the identity of the person receiving the material. This way, delivery issues for these orders are avoided.
What identity documents are valid?
We need you to provide us with any national identity document valid and verifiable. If you are a company, you can provide us with your national company number or VAT Number.
By default, we will attempt to fill in the field with information you have previously provided to us in:
- Registration for PRO
- Existing billing addresses
What if I don't want to provide this information?
Unfortunately, it is a Spanish legislation with which we are obliged to comply. Our Customer Support team is available to resolve any questions or issues that may arise.
